1) Teaching

You can be a teacher in any subject. Your God gifted ability to speak well would make you successful. Moreover, this is one profession where time demands are comparatively less. Hence, you can make a fine balance between work and family.

2) HR Department

HR professionals need to be compassionate, understanding and problem solvers. Women can affectionately listen to the problems and genuinely try to address these. Their keenness to find a way assists them in succeeding in the profession.

 3) Dentistry

You might have a love for science subjects and always wanted to be a Doctor. Or you wanted to serve the humanity!!! MBBS or MD are required to be ready to meet emergencies even at odd night hours. Fortunately, with BDS/MDS, you can get your ambition fulfilled without having the stress for 24 hours a day. Moreover, it takes lesser years of studying.

4) Law

Females are known as better orators with strong argumentative ability. Legal profession is for people with strong situational understanding. Women would be in a better position to be analyse all aspects and then present the case, as appropriate.

5) Journalism

The profession is associated with glamour and women can justify well. Requires excellent communication skills and strong personality. Modern women are brought up with the mind-set of a tough person. Journalism can be tiring at times but name, fame and money can be pursued easily.

It would be a real challenge to pick top universal qualities of women. However, I dedicate these five which I admire the most-

1) Even God needs her to  bring a new life 

God is worshipped because He is the creator. But, how can He bring a new creature in this world without her help? The ability to give birth is an amazing wonder of all times. She needs to be worshiped for the same reason.

2) She will multiply whatever you give her

She is a multiplier. You give her a house, she will make it a home. You give her a man, she will make a family. You give her a smile, she will return a laughter. You give her an argument, she will convert into a fight. Give her love, she will give herself completely. Choice is yours, what you want to multiply !!!

3) She is a stronger gender

She is not a fairer or weaker sex. She can withstand stresses and burdens better. She can do a full time job, full time home maker and full time family attention, all at the same time. She can have sleepless nights due to family members' sickness and still work the full next day without complaints. She feels happy even when she gets kicks from her baby in her womb. Strength personified !!!

4) Only woman has the ability of multi-tasking

She can count cooker whistles, listen to TV serials, keep an eyes on the study of kids and talk to her husband, all at the same time. She is a magical multi-tasker. A man can do only one thing at a time. If you want to talk to him when he is watching time, he need remote to pause TV to listen to you. Woman are naturally superior !!!

5) She does not need anyone to complete her

She can cook, hail a cab, nurse her baby, care for her in-laws and catch up on lost sleep. Mahatma Buddha deserted his wife after their son's birth. She nurtured her son all alone despite all the difficulties. When Buddha returned, she told him that people will remember his teachings of enlightenment but her lesson would be largely unknown. When asked...she announced with un-shed tears...Woman is complete on her own !!!

➤When laziness is better than perfection !!!

The "search for excellence" is different from "efforts of perfection". Why should we be pushed to be perfect ???👯💃

1)You do not have to be better than others

When you try to be perfect, you are actually competing with others. That is not the right strategy. You have to compete with yourself only. Raise your own bar everyday. As long as you are ahead of where you were yesterday, you are a hero. A daily hero !!!

2) Perfection requires a lot more energy

There is lot of efforts difference between "Nearly Perfect" and " Perfect". Ask a student who gets 99% marks and one who gets 100%. A sculputre may spend many more hours to reach the state of perfection with his idol. This Perfection is his state of mind, not of statute. Work smart !!!

3) Perfection is the attempt to be someone else

Perfection is a state of mind in which you try to imitate your role models. Self improvement books and motivational speakers set these standards for you. You start believing that you will not be complete if you do not do a perfect job every time. You already are Perfect !!!

4) 80:20 rule will do more good

Famous Italian sociologist Pareto propounded his famous theory on income distribution as 80:20 in all aspects. You will be better off with regard to income, relationships and productivity if you reach just 80% of target perfection. 50% will get you at 80% output. That means , your output will be 160% rather than 100% with Perfection as target. Laziness...with applause !!!

5) Try to be more effective , not efficient

Efficiency is "doing the things right". Effectiveness is "doing the right things". Choose the activities which are giving you results rather than working hard on any one activity. Today is an age of multi-specialist rather than single experts. Look at the success of multi-specialist hospitals. Focus on acquired skills, not natural abilities!!!

I have taken the liberty of recommending Amitabh Bachchan block buster for the sheer pleasure of learning communication skills, value of life, choosing priorities and courageous decisions. Another Hindi movie on my list which can teach you entire MBA in three hours. Great inter-woven concepts on skill identification, team building, self belief and conflict management. It reminds you that celebration of small victories are key to big achievements. Amir Khan reinforces the thought..."what is mind can conceive, body can achieve.

1)  All friends are opting for this

It is an easy trap for you when you do not get the right guidance. People of your age have the similar level of intelligence, give and take a few degrees. You can have their opinion but must not blindly follow them.

You tend to ignore your skills and competencies and dissatisfaction creeps in as you go along. Do not buy others’ mistakes. God does not make crap…you are different and unique.

Businesses run on commercial principles. You may not decide your first salary but next paycheck is in your hands. Employer will always PAY you less than what you GIVE him in worth. 

So, you give worth 80000/- and he will compensate you 50000/-. And if you work for 4000/- he will not pay you even 4001/-. Simple mathematics. Your call !!!

4)  Company has big name

Big name does not mean big money. You ideas will have more value in a small enterprise or a start-up. Grow and rise with them. The chances of you, getting lost in the crowd, is more in a giant organization. 

Moreover, in a small company, you will get a chance to do multi-tasking which will you votary of skills for future jobs.

5)   I do not like this city

In the initial years of your career, go to any and every city. A ship is safest in the harbour but that was not the reason, ship was made. Get out of your comfort zone. Meet interesting people and see novel places. 

As you grow, you will have more stories to tell. Stories attract people and people make you successful.

➤Dream you must but do not keep sleeping !!!

Rahul looked at his wife as soon as they landed at Switzerland Airport and said " Remember dear ! I always used to dream of this place but was never sure. And see, we are here today". His dreams became reality and he had to pinch his wrist to check the status. Was it a coincidence or  do dreams have the innate POWER to be realized ???

1. Dreaming is a natural phenomenon

You must have heard people saying...Dream Big. And you always wonder....How? We wish it is as simple as saying it.

As kids we always think dreaming as an activity associated with sleeping. We tell fascinating descriptions of our previous night dreams to our parents. Yes...the nightmares also share our beds. When we get up scared, mothers are more frightened than us. Hugs and pecks follow to reinforce that everything is fine.

Of course different cultures view the occurrences of dreams in diverse meanings.

2. It is difficult to understand mind

Brain is being studied by scientists and philosophers alike for more than 2500 years. While medical science is starting to getting the brain anatomy and functions in a bit more clearer sense, the mind is still a mystery to both. People are always curious to know the interpretations of their dreams but there is no science which can help you out. Dreaming and their linkages to ambitions is still an uncharted territory to most.

Primarily, there are two usages of Dream. One is "a series of thoughts, images, and sensations occurring in a person's mind during sleep". This is something you do not have control over. When it comes to life and success, we are talkng about the second meaning , which is "a cherished aspiration, ambition, or ideal."

3. You find opportunities to realise your dreams

"I just began to crave for something different" says Jennifer Smith who turned her dream into reality. She always wanted to be a horse coach. When she got a 9 to 5 job in book publishing she felt uncomfortable. Not to be daunted, she volunteered to be an assistant where horses help people with disabilities. "I felt like I was speaking directly to me" says Jennifer. When the girl smiled at her minor victories, other children in the wheelchair cheered her. And that was the turning point. I often hear people say that I have a dream to do this or do that. But I do not know how to start. Yes, the key is "to start". Once you start things start falling in its place.

4. Dreams take you towards your destination

I am reminded of three friends who used to discuss their dreams at the age of 18. One wanted to settle in a foreign country. He always had a rosy picture of western lifestyle. Second had a great passion for his own country, family roots and rich culture. Third intended to enjoy foreign country for some time, return and the settle down in his own native place. All THREE had same qualifications, similar family backgrounds and identical opportunities. 35 years fast forward, I need not tell you, where they are now. Exactly, where they WANTED despite obstacles and/or environment.

5. So, how do we get what we want...
