➤Namaste Styles!!!

Style of Namaste tells about your feelings. Check out..

Namaste is a combination of two words...Namas and Te. Namas means To bow and Te means You. It means "I bow before you", And this bow is because of your good qualities. God made everyone with some unique qualities and that is why we do namaste to everybody.

Your style of Namaste tells the other person about your feelings..

1. Regal

This is an official posture. Pure formal and business style. It states that we value your association with us and we are happy to know you.

2. Respect

The style is an epitome of reverence. We bow slightly with folded hands to appreciate the other person's qualities. It denotes respect and is often combined with lowered gaze. Eye contact is missing here.

3. Informal

When we meet friends and relatives, we do this namaste. A broader smile associated with slightly tilted head, conveys affection and familiarity. Folded hands gives non-verbal message.."It is a pleasure to see you again"

4. Anjali Mudra

The entire concept is followed from "Anjali Mudra" in yoga philosophy where palms are pressed together for positive energy. Anjali stands for Divine offerings and that spirits is taken in namaste.

5. Yogic and Dance

These are two limited variations. Yogic namaste is offering to the God and/or Sun God. This aids in better blood circulation though it is not related to social connections. Dance mudra is used in Mohiniattam dance where the dance uses the posture to display a fine balance of action, gaze and movements.

Namaste is best carried our with a soft smile, positive feel and subtle confidence. The greeting may also be spoken without the gesture or the gesture performed wordlessly.

xo!!
