➤Small organizations - Boon for freshers

Big Name / Big platform- Not true anymore!!!

An old saying “A known devil is better than an unknown angel”.
Even in 21st century we are following the same pattern while choosing the company in our initial stages, “Big organization, big exposure”. However, it is not true anymore !!!

It is better to pick a “startup” in the early days of your career where you will get a better learning platform, a versatile role and chances to involve in multitasking.

Larger the tree, narrower the leave!!! Tropical trees are larger in size but have narrow sleek leaf.

Bigger  the company, narrower your role would be. Key Results Areas would be highly focused and specifically defined. More likely, it would be narrow in nature.
Working as an entry-level employee one does  not get enough space to think the beyond  work. You may not get frequent opportunities to show your creativity. In a small company, you may be a game changer.

Early recognition give you a positive energy:
At the early stages of career, money provides the primary satisfaction. However, the biggest motivational factor is to get recognized through your work. This gives you a kick to be more productive. On the other hand, in giant industry, its happens rarely and far between.
So, rather play smart.

Group to individual:

Even after working hard, it is difficult to get recognized as an individual for your Work. So even working in a team does not get rewarded. The need to get recognized gets fulfilled in startup company because of limited manpower. In an MNC, there would be number of employee serving with same skill.

Getting recognition for your work as an individual not only increases confidence but also reduces the anxiety level.

You're right ---- your blog echo my professional journey (started working for a company with employee strength of 30 and now working for a company with a workforce of 3.5 lacs) --- had major learning in my initial days of career with small companies/startups and now using that learning in my current organisation....!!
